Yoko was born to Eisuke and Isoko Yasuda Ono on February 18, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan.
Yoko's name means "Ocean Child" when translated.
Yoko has two siblings, Keisuke (December 1936) and Setsuko (October 1941).
On March 1, 1956, Yoko married a musician/artist, Toshi Ichiyanagi. They were divorced in 1962, after Yoko became pregnant
by avant-garde film director Anthony Cox.
In 1963, Yoko married Anthony. They had one child together, Kyoko Chan Cox, born August 8, 1963. They divorced on February
2, 1969.
Yoko married John Lennon on March 20, 1969 at the British Counsulate in Gibraltar, Spain. They had one child together,
Sean Ono Taro, born on John's birthday, October 9, 1975. They were married until December 8, 1980, when John was tragically
killed by Mark Chapman outside his apartment in New York.
Yoko still lives at the Dakota in New York City.
